Dennis Uy’s Enderun Tent Converted Into COVID-19 Swabbing Center

The Enderun Tent, a premier venue for weddings along Mckinley Hill in Bonifacio Global City, has been transformed into a testing center for suspected coronavirus patients.

The events place owned by business magnate Dennis Uy was repurposed to help the government respond to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III led a government team that inspected the space ahead of its scheduled opening this week.

Priority for testing are the thousands of overseas Filipino workers who flew back to Manila but could not travel to their hometowns just yet for fear that they could be carriers of the disease.

Other sites that were converted into a mega swabbing center were the Palacio de Maynila along Roxas Boulevard, Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, and the Iglesia ni Cristo’s Philippine Sports Stadium inside the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Uy’s 2GO earlier allowed the use of its ships as floating quarantine centers for free. This after drawing flak for charging a P35 million fee for the use of its ships.
